In the month of December alone 111 appointments were missed with doctors and nurses at the practice - this is equal to around 18.5 hours of appointment time that could be used with other patients. During winter time in particular, at a time of increased demand, this has a very significant effect on the availability of appointments.
If you are unable to attend an appointment please utilise the 'cancel' reply on your text-message reminders, or call to advise our front desk. Patients who repeatedly miss appointments without prior notification will have their ongoing registration at the practice reviewed and may be removed from the list.
Due to the season, Norovirus and other viral gastroenteritis infections are very common at the moment. Please see the following for self-care advice and note the advice that attending the practice with these infections can easily spread them to vulnerable patients. If you have any concerns about your symptoms not addressed by NHS inform, please call for advice first before booking an appointment.

We particularly recommend the musculoskeletal pages that have physiotherapy exercises for any injuries, pain or chronic conditions.
For support with Mental Health and Wellbeing, we recommend Wellbeing Glasgow and Lifelink - telephone, face to face and group counselling can be arranged through these services. They also have self help guides that can provide assistance. You can self refer for any of services without first seeing a doctor if this suits, though we are always happy to review you prior to speaking to these services if you feel you need to see a GP.

EasyHealth is a good resource for medical patient information leaflets in an accessible and easily understood format for those with additional learning needs.
